Please please please call these reps and the reps in your own state. We NEED to maintain protection for these species, as it is the only way to preserve the ecosystems that we DIRECTLY DEPEND ON for carbon sequestering, clean water, and clean air!!
Legit. And in general, they keep you from being, you know. Poisoned by industry on a regular basis.
So as far as I can tell… this bill was introduced last year?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.R._861_(115th_Congress)
Has there been any movement on it? Is it coming up for debate? Or did someone dig this out of the archives and float it around?
Because everything I can find on HR 861 is from last Feb/March.
Congress.gov is your source for this kind of question and the most recent movement was referral to commitee in April 2017. Not to mention that while the Republican party is pillaging the country in many ways, you can’t appoint your shitty incompetent friends to get taxpayer-funded questionable perks from an agency you eliminated.
To add to that, don’t call the authors of the bill. You call your reps when a bill is up for a vote, either on a committee on which they serve or the floor. Don’t call outside your district. They will ignore you and not care.
