Tutorial: Combining animated layers with clipping mask

Hello everyone! This is my second Photoshop tutorial. I’ve decided to write this up since someone has been asking me how I’ve created the effect on this banner. 

Note: I used Adobe After Effects to animate the texts in this image. In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to create this effect on Photoshop. If you want to implement fancier text animations, there is an extra section at the end of this post on how to do that on Adobe After Effects.

You’ll need:

• A version of Photoshop which supports Video Timeline
• Optional: Adobe After Effects (for fancier text effects)

Difficulty: Medium (Photoshop only) / Advanced (After Effects animations)
