For those who watch both Harry Potter and Wild Kratts!
A very real question.
• What hogwarts houses would each Wild Kratt member be in?
• What would be their patronum?
• If they brought a pet what would it be?
I REALLY want to know because I just saw Fantastic Beasts: Crimes of Grindelwald and got that crazy idea, despite suffering from a migraine that was horrible. 💗💙💚💛

I would like to give a response with past discussions about Hogwarts houses for the crew in past in mind. Particularly, @empress-penguin tackled this concept twice in the past two ways for the brothers. The first was just general sorting by feel, however you just look at characters and just, decide where they go. The second way is by the guidelines of @sortinghatchats, where there is a primary and secondary house for a given character. However, for keeping this simple and clean, we won’t really talk about the latter system (though feel free to check out their blog though for info and you can hmu if you want to discuss more in-depth about how this particular system applies to the crew).
Jimmy is definitely a Hufflepuff I would say… and while we’re at it, so would Koki imo. She’s just as capable of the stunts as Aviva, but she definitely rivals Jimmy in keeping a clear and grounded head. In fact, she seems to prefer order and is averse to taking unnecessary risks (I believe the flying fish episode showcased this the best when she reiterated the lesson). She’s only just somewhat less Done compared to Aviva 😛 even if she’s all-too willing to call out the brothers on their nonsense. I don’t believe that equates to being a Gryffindor trait though; she seems more like the type that’s satisfied with just working the day-to-day tasks in the background without need for outright celebration (though she would still like appreciation- anyone would). In conclusion, Koki values honesty in her words AND her work.
With confidence, I can say that Hufflepuff isn’t a priority house for Aviva. I won’t deny that Aviva still cares for her team: she really does. But with that being said, I don’t think community values are a strong suit of Aviva… she only has more sense than the brothers, but she’s still capable of diving headfirst into things (sometimes BECAUSE she cares for the brothers, but also other times… for her own reasons). Another house to knock off the list could be Slytherin. For the same reasons as Chris, the house doesn’t really complete Aviva’s character. Sure, she’s somewhat ambitious and cunning, and she’ll defend her pride when threatened, but that’s not all who Aviva is. Aviva will Fight for creatures in danger and go through hell and back for the crew, all while as a genius inventor looking for ways to improve tech and learn about creatures. So, we’ve narrowed the list down to Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. In my opinion, based on what she does and the fact that her genius intellect and fit of emotions sometimes floats beyond the reach of common sense, I’ll have to relent Ravenclaw. I mean, I’m interested in the opinion of the fandom on this too.
Okay uh the brothers. Well. For one thing, Chris will most likely follow wherever Martin ends up. And where they’ll end up are either Ravenclaw or Gryffindor… The former is incredibly tempting because as @empress-penguin said in her post, the unconventional, hands-on methods of the brothers add a lot of spice and flair to what they can contribute to the house. Most Ravenclaws depicted seem to be content with just research and theory via books, as is the stereotypical portrayal of an incredibly studious and academic student, but Ravenclaws also value breaking the norm. Any method is worth looking into as long as it yields information and efficiency. As also pointed out by @empress-penguin, the brothers’ preferred method of saving creatures (either by disasters, society, or villains) is through education. They value knowledge like, a lot. But to counteract that, the brothers also value saving the creatures probably like a bit more. Yeah, they’re headstrong, active, and morally-driven men that wants to make a difference in the world.
I’ll yield and say that Chris is a bit more Ravenclaw because of his preference for planning and preparation with tools Fit for the job while Martin has thrown his life on the line more than once for creatures, tugging him towards Gryffindor. I mean, I’m just as interested if they happen to be pulled towards different houses by the Hat but remember that the Hat also considers choices by the student. Chris might just end up asking to be in the same house as Martin (or not), and for the reasons above, both will do fine in wherever they go.
But hey, academic and knowledge-pursuing Kratts in Gryffindor also has its own appeal much like the unconventional methods of the brothers in Ravenclaw 🙂

3. Go through and select every post from this month. You can only select 100 at a time, so make sure to remember where you got to in each block (I took pictures of my screen so I made sure i did them all)
4. Click “add tags” and choose a tag to add to every post. Doesn’t matter what but preferably something you don’t think will already be on a post. Mine was #yikes.
5. Add the tag and wait for it to confirm. Then ‘unselect’ the posts and resume until you reach November. This should resolve the issue and let other people see your new posts!!
Please don’t fucking log off tumblr on the 17th as a protest. All that’s going to do is give tumblr more reason to shut this place down because of revenue loss.

Recently, Tumblr was removed from the Apple app store due to an incident involving child pornography. This incident is incredibly unfortunate, but it doesn’t stand alone. Tumblr was also removed from the app store due to the large influx of porn bots and pornographic spam, users claiming to be proud to be pedophiles, blatant Nazism, racists who are not deleted for sending hate and harassing users, and more. I myself reported someone for harassing me, but because I had blocked the person and couldn’t access the messages where they harassed me, they were still able to send me anonymous asks. Your support staff, with back doors to the website (presumably), claimed they could not access the messages, and I was left SOL. Many features on this website do nothing to actually protect your users from harassment, racism, homophobia, transphobia, Nazis, pedophiles, predators, porn bots, and more.
You claim in your statement to us that you “have been working on these problems for a long time”. This is blatantly untrue. Please do not lie to us and patronize us. We’ve been here. We’ve seen you do nothing over, and over, and over again.
We complained to you for months and months about the rampant porn bots, and you did nothing except add a report button on mobile which only reported sensitive content or spam at best. You could have addressed this problem with an effective algorithm, but you did not. We complained to you about being harassed and sent hate speech for being LGBT+, and you did nothing. We complained to you about blogs being randomly deleted, and sometimes you’ve restored them, other times you have not. We complained to you that there were people proudly claiming to be “Minor Attracted Persons”, or pedophiles, and you did nothing. We complained to you about people proudly claiming to be white supremacists, and you did nothing. All of these things are “against the community guidelines”, and yet over and over, you have not found effective ways to handle these problems or suppress the feeling of welcome that these users claim to get here. You have had a long time to work on these problems, but you haven’t addressed them. To say you have is untrue.
Multiple other social networking websites, such as WordPress, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and others have effectively dealt with rampant pornography, racism, pedophilia, and other problems without causing massive issues for their users who are not misusing the platform. They are continuing to find new, effective ways to deal with these issues without causing problems for their userbase as a whole. There is no reason that you are unable to do this effectively other than that you wanted to do it quickly. You have once again chosen your stock holders over your users. And we have had enough.
You have already started to ban “Adult” content with a new algorithm. Here are screenshots of just a fraction of the posts you have flagged as containing adult content:
Your new system of simply tackling everything at once is not working. At all. And each of these screenshots is proof of your utter incompetence. None of these posts contain pornographic acts, “female nipples”, or any community violation of any kind.
We, the users, have been asking you for months to deal with these problems – particularly, the porn bots and bots that spam. In order to block a bot from a side blog, I have to do it manually, even though they are in my side blog’s feed. This is a huge issue for mobile – only users. They keep cropping up in droves, taking over our posts and tricking google into making it look like a legitimate blog linked to a pornographic website. We have complained to you for months and months now, and your solution to simply “ban all adult content” is ineffective. I agree that children should not be able to access pornography – but this is not how you tackle a porn bot problem. Your system is utterly useless, allows for racists, pedophiles, porn bots, and Nazis to remain untouched. It also harms sex workers and real people who may use this website for some forms of adult content responsibly. Moreover, as seen above, it harms plenty of users who have in no way violated your terms of service.
If you keep this up, you threaten your website and company as a whole. Many of us are backing up our blogs and planning places to go to.
You already have a content filter for “sensitive” content (content inappropriate for younger viewers). You could have improved this, instead of attacking your entire user base. It seems to be a very lazy “solution”, if you could call it one at all, and one that harms your entire userbase.
If you are going to keep this filter in place and make Tumblr, a website that has never been known for being family friendly and has never claimed to be, you are going to lose millions of your users. We are already planning our exodus. It isn’t hard to follow. Censor us, and we will go somewhere else. That is not a threat. It is a promise.
We’ve all been disappointed so many times by tumblr’s updates, and some of us have put up with them in the past, but their latest nsfw filter is, by far, the worst.
Whilst I can understand tumblr’s efforts in implementing this type of censoring system, it isn’t helpful at all, not to mentiontheir algorithm is inaccurate and 99% of the posts that get marked as nsfw are in reality, SFW.Whereas images of nude photography aren’t even flagged as sensitive.
We don’t need an apology on what was happening/what tumblr is “working on” to improve things. What tumblr should really do, is remove this function. Because it’s been affecting nothing but innocent posts, for instance photos/gifs of people holding hands, a character’s face, etc; and it’s also affecting communities like lgbt folks and anime/animation fandoms, where anime/disney edits are getting flagged as NSFW for no logical reason.
if there are people who want to have a clean dash, by all means they could just easily turn on the safe mode on tumblr to avoid seeing [the real] sensitive posts.
I don’t think tumblr @staff understands the severity of how it’s affecting a lot of people, especially those edits/graphics makers and tumblr artists who depend on tumblr to post their work online.On top of that, the sensitive review would take days, and it’s exasperating. Instead of launching an algorithm that doesn’t work right, they shouldn’t launch it at all until and unless it works in the right way, or find other solutions that DOES NOT affect graphic makers who post their art/edits online. Rolling out such a flawed algorithm is simply unprofessional imo. Honestly we all love spending time on tumblr but please @staff fix this issue soon so that it doesn’t affect people like this.
