Here’s an adult male Pachycephelasaurus, inspired by the coloring and textures of chameleons.
Studies where scientists sliced through the skull of this dinosaur found that the dome is completely solid, which is unlike the skulls of Rams, whole souls have hollow spongy areas to absorb the force of impact while head butting. This suggests that Pachycephelasaurus probably did not engage in head butting. More studies have found that Dracorex, and Stygimoloch are just juvenile and subadult Pachycephelasaurus. This suggests that the dome heads could have been purely for display and identifying the adults within the species. Similar to birds, the male Pachycephelasaurus might have had bright colors to attract mates and to display dominance.
