I’m always disappointed when I see black people do this shit. And don’t give me any bullshit, unless YOU ARE a Native American, this is wrong and fucked up.
@alwaysbewoke Shut the fuck up🙄 you don’t know if she got Indian in her blood or not
There’s always one. Take your sleep stupid ass somewhere. There’s one making excuses. Yea every last one of them just happen to have Indian in their blood and all decided to be strippers at the same time and place. Fucking idiot.
if they were actual natives that were in touch with their native culture they would already know that this shit is disrespectful to their ancestors/relatives anyway
Right like this so ugly
Quick side bar… I really hate when people see a black person participating in cultural appropriation and they jump to defend….
Like, if they were part of that culture do you REALLY think they’d use important aspects of that culture as fashion or a costume? It’s so annoying to me, personally.
I reblogged this JUST to say that I have native ancestry that I could definitely be more in touch with and this is nonetheless GROSS and wrong.
Black people. We have a rich and beautiful and diverse culture that is THOUSANDS of years old and global. Yes, SOME of which we share with native folx. But why would you fuck with a culture you know little about rather than one you know (I hope) plenty about???
GET TO KNOW WHO YOU ARE! EMBRACE WHO YOU ARE!
And ALSO LET OTHER PEOPLE BE WHO THEY ARE WITHOUT INTERFERENCE OR MOCKERY. POC or NOT.
I just want to point out that this is an advertisement for a club…It isn’t as if these women got together and chose to do this. They are models trying to make a living who were told to wear this. IDK who their boss is. Could be white. I don’t like it either, but I would like to see some examples of Black people taking selfies like this and wearing Halloween costumes like this, if we’re gonna sit here pissed off. I see white folks do this every day for fun, but have yet to see one image of a group of Black people smiling on Twitter wearing somebody else’s culture like it makes them cool or something. This wasn’t their choice. I’m not going to fault some sistas for doing what they have to do to put food on the table.
THAT IS AN EXCELLENT POINT on the club thing.
as for seeing black women doing this…
i came across a bunch this halloween and i didn’t post them. i just unfollowed them on social media however it’s pretty common it seems. smh…
