We learned about this picture in art history! This was taken at a casual get together a bit away from the twin towers. The lady in the picture had just turned her head to look when the photograph was shot. Everyone at the gathering was horrified when they saw what happened, but the woman has since gotten a lot of flak for supposedly bein so blase about the whole thing (even though what had happened was that she hadn’t even had time to react). The lesson was that pictures can very easily be misappropriated for propaganda purposes. (And this goes for both the left and the right, before y’all start gettin self congratulatory about it)
