when you’re so transphobic you support trans people by accident but you don’t know enough about transness to course correct and it’s too late anyway

It’s a cautionary tale of the ambiguity of language and failing (or refusing) to consider your opponents’ point of view.
Some transphobes on twitter decided the best way to communicate an argument was through a #tag (because repeating assertions by rote is only bad when The Trans do it). Specifically, that people whose assigned gender/sex is [male] but whose gender is [female] Are Not Women (that womanhood is defined by sex).
Problem being, they decided to call these people “trans men”, when those who disagree with them call these people “trans women”. Likewise, what other people understand by “trans men” are indeed…not men.
At best, the statement is a tautology to whomever reads it, whatever they think of trans people, because to them it’s saying “men are not women”—hardly a controversial statement.
It’s an embarrassing blunder that demonstrates the utter inability of the transphobes behind it to consider how someone they want to convince would read it.
