By rearticulating traditional Azerbaijani rug design, Faig Ahmed creates sculptural textiles that look like digital glitches, patterns flatlining halfway through a tapestry or gradually morphing into a digital mosaic.
The company is called December Diamonds. You’re welcome.
Other highlights of their merchandise:
They also have some neat mermaid ornaments as well as some truly bizarre things like a leather daddy flamingo, but let’s be real, these mermen are the main appeal.
but for the girls they have some pretty cool options like
Laptop Liz
and I swear creamsicle is just like a friend of mine
and then this awesome one – queen for a day
and I am sooo getting this for my newly wed friends
and guys they do this tacky monstrosity of a dinosaur that I soo need to have
i honestly love the way the mermaids are designed like they’re wearing dresses instead of just “here have a tail and a bikini top” i have not seen that NEARLY often enough that is so cool
Today Luederitz Bay had the visit of two Orcas (aka killer whales). We first got alerted by Rene Rossler and managed to spot them at the entrance of the lagoon off Shark Island. They made their way all the way up past the Nest Hotel and the oyster farms and then returned along the western shore; last seen off Kartoffelbucht about four hours later.
There was some evidence of feeding off Griffith’s Bay… possibly a shark or a skate. This instantly attracted some gulls which avidly picked up some scraps for lunch.
Interestingly enough both orcas today had a collapsed dorsal fin! While collapsed fins are common in captive orcas (particularly males), they are rare in wild populations. To get two individuals with collapsed fins is extremely unusual indeed!
As a cat owner, I can confirm 50% of the time I am kissing my cats soft head and telling her how much she means me, and the other 50% I’m angrily telling her not to eat plastic
